Our lodges, safari, tents and pods at give visitors a unique blend of modern living and countryside ambience. Have a weekend or a week away with us and enjoy home comforts like WiFi and hot showers, whilst surrounded by nature and the great outdoors.

Here’s why you should visit Bowbrook Lodges in winter…

Getting away from it all

Whether it’s a break from the pressures of Christmas preparation or just a really long time since you’ve taken any time off work, a winter holiday helps you to get away from it all.

Winter can be a really magical time of year for a holiday. Think of waking up to glistening frost, winter wildlife-spotting and a chance to stargaze on clear evenings, all from the warm comfort of your lodge, pod or safari tent.

You might want walks in the countryside, long lie-ins or a time to reconnect as a couple, and a winter break at Bowbrook Holidays can give you just that. It’s a chance to switch off, take a break and recharge your batteries.

Pack a favourite book, a warm winter jumper and fluffy socks for a really cosy winter break. Snuggle up on the sofa with a hot drink or spend the evening playing board games, watching a film together or cooking a warming family feast in the kitchen. Whether you want to get away with friends, as a couple or create special family moments, Bowbrook Holidays is the perfect place to get away from the stresses of everyday life.

Our luxury glamping pods, lodges and safari tents even have their own hot tubs. Whether you want to take a dip, or simply wrap yourself in blankets and relax on the decking, there is no better way to unwind, whatever the weather.

Walks

Walking is wonderful in the summer sun, but it’s just as much fun in the winter. Mist and drizzle give it atmosphere, frost is bracing and beautiful and the ground is still littered with crunchy autumn leaves.

When the frost covers the landscapes and morning dew sparkles in the sunshine, step out of your snug space to explore the world around you. You could even spot some winter wildlife while you’re out and about.

There’s plenty of countryside walks in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire close to Bowbrook – whether you fancy tackling the Malvern Hills or just taking a gentle stroll through a Cotswold village.

Don’t forget that there’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong type of clothes. So pack clothing that protects you from everything that the season can throw at you – sturdy walking boots, waterproofs, woolly jumpers and warm hats and gloves, and get outside and soak up the very best of the British countryside.

And after a day of exploring in the cold air, there’s nothing better than returning to your cosy lodge, pod or safari tent.

Peace and quiet

A summer holiday is great, but it can get a little bit busy! If you’re desperate to climb the Malvern Hills or visit the Cotswold villages, you can be certain that a lot of other people will be too.

Whether you just want space to clear your head and really breathe, or you want perfect photos that capture the location, rather than the crowds, winter is a great time for a holiday.

Popular Cotswold towns and villages like Broadway look charming all year round, but they look even better with fewer people around. In winter, the pavements are less crowded and the queues for the restaurants, coffee shops and public toilets are much shorter, which makes for a far more relaxing break.

And Cotswold villages look just as beautiful in winter as they do in summer. If you’re lucky enough to catch them covered in mist, frost or even snow, they look absolutely stunning! If you’re not a fan of the cold, you can even enjoy them from the warmth and comfort of your car.

Pubs

Who doesn’t love relaxing in a country pub when they’re on holiday? And there is something extra special about a pub in winter, as you sit next to a roaring fire while it’s cold and dark outside.

The pub is the perfect ending to a day spent exploring the great outdoors near Bowbrook Holidays – or if you’re enjoying a more relaxing holiday, it might be the perfect start to your day! Whether you’re enjoying a delicious, hot meal or a relaxing pint, there’s no better place to be.

There’s lots of fantastic pubs nearby in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, so you are certain to find one you will love.

It’s cheaper!

A holiday is still a holiday, whatever time of year you go. And one of the best things about taking a break at Bowbrook Holidays in winter is that it’s much cheaper than it is in summer. You are still enjoying exactly the same facilities as you would in summer – from the private hot tubs outside our safari tents, luxury pods and lodges to our beautiful 25 acre landscaped site – just at a fraction of the price.

While you are spending less money on your accommodation, you’ve got more to spend on eating out, day trips or a spot of shopping in Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham or one of the other nearby towns. What’s not to love?

If you’ve never tried a UK countryside holiday in the winter before, could this be the time to take the plunge? Bowbrook Holidays really does have something to offer all year round.

We can’t guarantee clear blue skies and crisp, frosty mornings, but pack your layers, your walking boots and your waterproofs, and we promise you a memorable holiday away from all the stresses of everyday life.

But why are these healthy alternative holidays becoming all the rage and replacing the cheap package deals to resorts in Spain and elsewhere? Glamping is luxury on a budget Well, arguably, cheap package deals to resorts in Spain are often not a cheaper alternative. Due to the drop in the value of the pound against the Euro prices have boomed in recent years which has left holidaymakers with no option but to enjoy a vacation on home soil. Glamping provides the perfect solution for a cost effective break away, but with the same perks of staying in an apartment overseas. Of course, you can’t always guarantee the weather in England, but you can still guarantee luxury accommodation. Our Luxury Lodges and Safari Tents offer plenty of accommodation options at an affordable rate, while still providing true comfort. Since you don’t have the added extra cost of flights you can treat yourself and the family to a couple of nights in our Zebra lodge which offers a private hot tub for up to six people without breaking the bank. Glamping offers unique accommodation A common theme in today’s society is that people are often looking for ways to break trends and do something which is a little bit outside of the norm. Of course, everyone enjoys their 5-star all-inclusive holiday in the Mediterranean, but a trip to the countryside to stay in a ‘quirky’ glamping lodge will often trump that due to the uniqueness of the experience. Why settle for ordinary when you can book a quirky night’s stay that offers the comfort and facilities that would rival many top hotels. Glamping is for everyone If you’re looking for a romantic break for just the two of you, or a place for the whole family to enjoy, Bowbrook Lodges offers both without foregoing certain home comforts. You can enjoy a comfy bed, a bath tub and a fully equipped kitchen and living area all while enjoying the best parts of camping, such as gathering around the fire pit, relaxing on the balcony enjoying the stars and the 360-degree view of the beautiful countryside surrounding you. Glamping is truly a great way to soak up the outdoors and revert back to the authentic, simple way of life, so when you start to look for holiday alternatives be sure to add glamping to your list.

Jam-packed high streets, hassled shoppers, overflowing coffee shops and city traffic, seems like a bit of a nightmare really, doesn’t it? How about a peaceful get away at a secluded spot far away from the crowds? Experience twinkling stars with a hot chocolate in hand, crisp, cold morning walks through the woodlands, met by chirping birds and the crunch of the ice breaking beneath your feet. If that sounds like a dream come true, read on! We guess you’ve not really associated the words Glamping and Christmas together before?! But why not? During the colder months it can actually be even more magical and give you a completely different experience to what you’ve had before. Here’s why you should step away from the holiday crowds and head out glamping for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. Weather Imagine waking up in a lodge, or one of our special safari tents, on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning met by a dusting of sparkly frost, whilst sat roasting beside the fireplace. It would be simply magical! Whether rain or shine you'll be guaranteed a unique experience as you lap up the 360-degree view of the countryside surrounding you. Food Couldn’t imagine Christmas without a turkey roasting in the oven? Our lodges and luxury safari tents are like a home away from home. They come with a fully equipped kitchen and have everything you could need to serve up an identical Christmas lunch to the one you’d prepare at home. Being on vacation also gives you the opportunity to explore somewhere new. Perhaps you might want to head out for your Christmas dinner? Pershore is only 2 miles away with several country pubs. What could be better than having someone else do the cooking and the cleaning? Wherever you end up, it is guaranteed that you will be able to taste some incredible local produce whilst sipping on your favourite beverage. Relaxation There’s no better way than to spend Christmas unwinding and taking some well-deserved time away from reality. Our glamping lodges and tents can provide you with a place to switch off and relax in the surroundings of the beautiful countryside. Additionally, our lodges come equipped with bath tubs, so you can put your self-care at the forefront. You can also take a trip out to the decking and enjoy a glass of bubbly under the stars or a mulled wine to warm up your senses. New traditions Are you still waking up to your satsuma in your stocking because that’s what your great grandmother used to do? Or every Christmas morning you wake up to crusty bacon cobs cooked on top of the turkey? Most of us are lovers for Christmas traditions. However, there are plenty of reasons to start your own traditions. One Christmas tradition is staying at home with the family and enjoying the whole day together, but we ask, is there is no harm in trying something new? Year after year, Christmas can become tiring for families who spend the build up to it preparing and working hard on the day to make it as special as always, cooking lunch for the mass! Instead, you can spend some quality time together at our Oak Lodge. This particular lodge sleeps up to a family of four and has a particularly festive feel to it due to its wooden appearance and natural woodland setting. You can pop out for lunch or prepare it in our lodge or tent, and then spend the afternoon playing your favourite Christmas games or doze in front of the TV with a Christmas movie on. So, if you are now thinking “all I want for Christmas is relaxation”, we most definitely have you covered! We have a wide range of lodges waiting for you over Christmas which will only enhance your festive spirit and truly make it a Christmas to remember.
